When I was a kid, in my grandmother's holiday house in Schoelcher, I would enjoy it every morning... or evening... The scene takes place in Martinique, on the north Caribbean sea side, in a small fishermen town called Bellefontaine. On the Atlantic side, the boats are called "yoles rondes". They are slightly different. Both are having race around the island, taking place in July. The yole ronde race is more popular, until last year it was on the first week of august, now it's the last week of july.... People from all over the island follow it on their boats or from the road. It's really impressive, the sea gets very busy !!! I'll make sure I share that one day with you. Enjoy the end of the holiday season, mine are starting....
